Why consider using incentives for your workforce?
- Knowledgeable and attentive employees account for 80% of the reasons consumers feel satisfied, according to a PNC Bank Corp. survey.
- Fewer than one in four American workers is working at full potential; half of all workers do no more than directly asked, and 75% of employees say they could be more effective in their jobs, according to the Public Agenda forum.
- 70% of unhappy customers abandon vendors because of poor service, according to the Forum Corp.
- A 5% increase in customer retention can increase lifetime profits from a customer by 75%, according to the Loyalty Effect by Frederick Reichheld.
- 'Reward and retention efforts can produce big dollar returns.’ That’s what the Incentive Federation found in a 2003 survey asking hundreds of businesses using incentive travel promotions 'Does Incentive Travel Improve Sales Productivity and By How Much?'
Why consider incentives for your clients?
It’s obvious from industry surveys of companies using incentives that travel is the most widely appealing incentive where everyone wins. Your sales people will close more sales, your clients will enjoy an exciting vacation experience and your business will increase its profits. Bottom line, travel incentives will give you a distinct edge over your competition!

Testimony
I wanted to share some great news of the wonderful results I've been getting with my travel incentives. In June I was excited to learn about these incentive options because I saw a real opportunity for my Real Estate business. With the market getting much more competitive in my area, I'm always looking for opportunities to stand out from other realtors. My Team and I have a successful business that has been built on referrals. Typically, 60-65% of our business is generated from referrals. I wanted to see first-hand the kind of results they could bring. So, I used it to reach out to our "sphere of influence", more specifically, 50 of our Real Estate clients from the last 24 months. Because of the great price-point, we mailed out the 3-day GetUp&Go Vacations. Shortly after they went out, we received calls from not, 1 or 2 clients, like we typically do when we send out a mailer or some kind of marketing piece, but instead 15 in the first week. Within the month, we heard from nearly 28 of our clients, who raved about how wonderful it was to receive the gift. We then followed up with the remainder and reached nearly all, and the response was incredible. The best part is, we now have 11 new listings....all but 2 are a referral....So, from 50 mailers, we now have 9 new listings....These are relatives and friends of our clients.
The benefits do not stop there, because we now have a great follow up program in place to reach out quarterly to our clients to see if they have scheduled their trip?, how was the trip?, if they'd like to go on another trip?....each follow up is an opportunity to ask for their referrals....In fact, we have found a great company to create custom beach towels with our logo and info on it, that we will be sending to clients shortly after we know they have booked their vacation. Again, keeping ourselves top of mind.
We are planning to use another vacation incentive as holiday gifts this year, and we will select another 50 clients to farm in the 1st Quarter of 2008. I will keep you posted, but we are expecting even better results.
Thanks to VIP Travel, what is being described as a "down-market" this may now be our best year yet!
